Inspired by neutral tones and sophistication, this apartment in Midtown Miami is a place to relax and create.
Thought specially for our client, a very busy entrepreneur who loves to entertain but also enjoys her time with herself. We wanted to mix textures to the neutral tones to enhance the senses and give dynamism, thinking always about how every different activity is harmonically performed.

Full of wood, color and greenery, our goal was to create an industrial-modern place for fun, considering to be in a heritage neighborhood.

Home to a young couple, the goal for this raw environment was to create a considered, flexible space that would adapt when the family grow.
Our design strategy was towards avoid a significant reconfiguration of the existing spaces, instead re-purposing the generous open space and fill it with a flow that allows entertain and receive big crowds.
Kitchen and living room become one, accessible from the entrance hallway that is divided by a metal railing and a lineal planter that gives so much life and freshness to the whole.
Rooms configure the second area of the house, connected by a hallway that ends in a mirror wall that seems infinite.

This four original beautiful pastel colored houses were built in 1908 in East Little Havana right by the Miami River. Back in the days it used to be a Victorian boarding house, and was converted into an hotel later on.
Full of original vernacular details, spanish furniture and dade county pine floors, these four houses offer a lot of history and required a lot of care.
The design concept we received from the Experience Team within Selina was to bring the tropical vibes of Miami Beach to the existing environment, preserving the existing charming, repurposing and restoring the ornated furniture, adding modern pieces and modifying the existing rooms adjusting them to the Selina’s room typology.
The result was an eclectic mix of history and a tropical Miami where this 4 houses still stand tall, painted in the same pastel colors and united by a big courtyard where a lot of activities take place, including yoga, an outdoor cinema, concerts and weekend markets.

Located in a very famous neighborhood full of young culture, offices, entrepreneurs and night life, the challenge was to create a vibe different enough to attract young community and also professionals by offering something unique.
We did a fusion between mid-century and modern, as a way to understand the transition that the neighborhood has been facing towards “modern times”.
Inside Selina Hotel we designed a big open reception, a restaurant, a co-working space, a common kitchen with archs and fun rooms to watch movies and read/work, a yoga room, and 5 typologies of rooms for the guests.
This was a very fun project to do, since almost everything was made in-house with the Selina Team, an amazing group of creatives, architects, product designers and carpenters that always worked with the purpose of being sustainable, recycle and reuse.

A young couple apartment near the sea requested us to remodel their master bath. Their dream was to have enough space to store their stuff but at the same time not having closed-off doors that could look boring, also a big shower easy to clean and maintain, and a neat look that was bright and calm.
Our solution was to integrate fun wood textured doors with an open shelf to display some plants and items for daily use, combined with an incredible white marble that gives that tranquility and clean look.
Custom made round mirrors with backlit and hanging plants are the art touch.

An apartment inspired by the coast, bright and natural materials is now the home of a senior couple that just want to enjoy their life together.
The kitchen was the most important space, since the small table they used to have there, often turned into a large table adding more and more chairs to entertain their big family.
Our solution was to create a rectangular table with a fixed bench and chairs to allow more people and still having enough space to cook.
The apartment doesn’t have much natural light, so we removed all the dark wood from cabinets, floors and furniture and replaced it with soft and bright tones that opens up the space.
By removing the wall between the kitchen-dining room to the island counter, we allowed even more light, adding a louvered panel that gives visibility yet dividing the space.

Inspired by the danish word “hygge” that encompasses a feeling of coziness and comfortability, we designed this young couple’s living room to give them exactly that: feelings of wellness and contentment.
We mixed and layered accessories, textures, fabrics and plants to create a very warm and welcoming home perfect for long days watching TV and enjoying each others company.
