This four original beautiful pastel colored houses were built in 1908 in East Little Havana right by the Miami River. Back in the days it used to be a Victorian boarding house, and was converted into an hotel later on.
Full of original vernacular details, spanish furniture and dade county pine floors, these four houses offer a lot of history and required a lot of care.
The design concept we received from the Experience Team within Selina was to bring the tropical vibes of Miami Beach to the existing environment, preserving the existing charming, repurposing and restoring the ornated furniture, adding modern pieces and modifying the existing rooms adjusting them to the Selina’s room typology.
The result was an eclectic mix of history and a tropical Miami where this 4 houses still stand tall, painted in the same pastel colors and united by a big courtyard where a lot of activities take place, including yoga, an outdoor cinema, concerts and weekend markets.
