Selina is a hotel chain well-known in Latin America and now globally for being a place for young culture, entrepreneurs, backpackers, art and fun, offering a place to stay but also a hundred activities for visitors and locals to explore the city, the culture, the food, the party, and every possible cool thing to do in a city.
Located in a very famous neighborhood full of young culture, offices, entrepreneurs and night life, the challenge was to create a vibe different enough to attract young community and also professionals by offering something unique.
We did a fusion between mid-century and modern, as a way to understand the transition that the neighborhood has been facing towards “modern times”.
Inside Selina Hotel we designed a big open reception, a restaurant, a co-working space, a common kitchen with archs and fun rooms to watch movies and read/work, a yoga room, and 5 typologies of rooms for the guests.
This was a very fun project to do, since almost everything was made in-house with the Selina Team, an amazing group of creatives, architects, product designers and carpenters that always worked with the purpose of being sustainable, recycle and reuse.
